Various studies on wearable devices market have been done for decades now, mostly it was  presented as a concept model until few years back, however the IOT and AI technological advances seems to be captivating large and the consumer market in an unprecedented rate.

Wearable devices market penetration in Japan is gearing up in health care monitoring products such as bracelet type wristwatch products with a health care function (including sensors). However, there are more products popping up for consumers who do not wear wrist watches.

Mr. Maezono Yuhi, The exhibitor Director says there are seeing more interests from companies of wearable devices manufacturers and services providers to exhibit at Tokyo Wearable Device Expo, as the expo is becoming as International B2B exhibition for wearable devices and their development technologies including IoT and AR/VR technologies.

Exhibitors profiles includes Components for wearable devices, IoT technologies (M2M solutions, cloud services, etc.), Wearable devices (smart watches, smart bands, etc.), Business solutions using wearable devices (logistics/fleet management, increasing productivity, etc.).

Next expo is held during  2017/01/18 - 20 at the Venue Tokyo Bigsight has more than 170 companies as exhibitors while 70% of them are domestic companies and 30% from various other countries. Visitors profile includes Wearable device manufacturers , Wearable device buyers, Corporate users such as logistics, health-care companies, Trading agents and Retailers, etc.

The reason being Japanese consumers are actively adopting to newer products from global companies so we are seeing both B2B and B2C visitors for this expo.

As wearable terminals are to be worn on a daily basis, there is a preference to emphasize the high fashion-ability leading to Prospect of other categories , products such as rings, necklaces, clothing types and other products currently in appearance and products of various shapes introduced as concept models is evolving at high speed and form a certain market.

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

This compact 3D camera series combines a very short working distance, a large field of view and a high depth of field - perfect for bin picking applications. With its ability to capture multiple objects over a large area, it can help robots empty containers more efficiently. Now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems. In the color version of the Ensenso B, the stereo system is equipped with two RGB image sensors. This saves additional sensors and reduces installation space and hardware costs. Now, you can also choose your model to be equipped with two 5 MP mono sensors, achieving impressively high spatial precision. With enhanced sharpness and accuracy, you can tackle applications where absolute precision is essential. The great strength of the Ensenso B lies in the very precise detection of objects at close range. It offers a wide field of view and an impressively high depth of field. This means that the area in which an object is in focus is unusually large. At a distance of 30 centimetres between the camera and the object, the Z-accuracy is approx. 0.1 millimetres. The maximum working distance is 2 meters. This 3D camera series complies with protection class IP65/67 and is ideal for use in industrial environments.
