FSR®-The Most Versatile Force Sensor Technology Set to Inspire the Next-Generation of Product Innovators

Interlink Electronics`FSR® 402 implemented in littleBits Pressure Sensor Module

CAMARILLO, Calif.--Interlink Electronics, Inc. (OTC: LINK) announced today the integration of FSR® 402 sensor in the littleBits Pressure Sensor input module, an electronic module designed to create simple or sophisticated electronics with minimum engineering knowledge. FSR®- the most versatile force sensor technology on the market proves itself to be the synergistic link between a robust technology and next-generation electronics interface.

"littleBits open innovation approach combined with our very versatile technology will undoubtedly help to unleash the creativity of the next generation of problem solvers and inspire the next Steve Jobs in all of us"

.Interlink Electronics` FSR ® 402 is now built into the littleBits Pressure Sensor Module, a circuit-board with simple, intuitive functions that enables creation of sophisticated engineered electronics by snapping small magnets together. littleBits is an open source library of electronic modules that snap together with magnets for prototyping, learning and fun. The blocks allow you to create complex structures with very little engineering knowledge. Described by the Financial Times as "The Lego of the digital age", littleBits proves the versatility and simple functionality that allow exploration of the world of electronics in a very accessible way.

FSR® 402 is part of Interlink Electronics FSR® 400 series, the most versatile force sensor technology on the market. FSRs® are robust polymer thick film (PTF) two-wire devices that exhibit a decrease in resistance with increase in the force applied to the surface of the sensor. This force is optimized for use in human touch control of electronic devices in diverse applications such as automotive, electronics, medical systems, industrial control and robotics. FSR® 400 sensors are cost effective, ultra thin, robust, simple & easy to integrate into a wide range of user interface and data capture solutions.

"Interlink is delighted that littleBits has chosen our most versatile sensor as an integral component of one of its input modules (Bits)", said Declan Flannery, Chief Operating Officer. "littleBits open innovation approach combined with our very versatile technology will undoubtedly help to unleash the creativity of the next generation of problem solvers and inspire the next Steve Jobs in all of us".

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

This compact 3D camera series combines a very short working distance, a large field of view and a high depth of field - perfect for bin picking applications. With its ability to capture multiple objects over a large area, it can help robots empty containers more efficiently. Now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems. In the color version of the Ensenso B, the stereo system is equipped with two RGB image sensors. This saves additional sensors and reduces installation space and hardware costs. Now, you can also choose your model to be equipped with two 5 MP mono sensors, achieving impressively high spatial precision. With enhanced sharpness and accuracy, you can tackle applications where absolute precision is essential. The great strength of the Ensenso B lies in the very precise detection of objects at close range. It offers a wide field of view and an impressively high depth of field. This means that the area in which an object is in focus is unusually large. At a distance of 30 centimetres between the camera and the object, the Z-accuracy is approx. 0.1 millimetres. The maximum working distance is 2 meters. This 3D camera series complies with protection class IP65/67 and is ideal for use in industrial environments.
