Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM), maker of surface finishing and deburring tools, is announcing plans to exhibit Flex-Hone® and NamPower technologies at next month's Wisconsin Manufacturing and Technology Show (WMTS). Gaudian Industrial Sales of Romeoville, IL, a long-time BRM manufacturing representative, will showcase the California company's flexible hones and abrasive nylon brushes.

WMTS is Wisconsin's largest industrial tradeshow and the Midwest's leading event for machine tools and metalworking equipment. From October 8 to 10, representatives from national and international companies will meet with industrial buyers in West Allis, WI at the Wisconsin State Fair Park, Exposition Center Halls B&C. Flexible Honing Tools for Cylinder Walls

Manufacturers and metalworkers use BRM Flex-Hone® tools to improve the surface finish of cylinder walls. With their flexible nylon abrasive filaments, flexible honing tools are self-centering, self-aligning to the bore, and self-compensating for wear. Industrial applications include burr removal and surface finish improvement for aerospace components, auto parts, and engine cylinders.

Cylinder honing tools are also used with earth moving equipment, hydraulics, and aluminum extrusions. By mounting BRM ball hones in CNC machine centers, transfer lines, and robotic cells, manufacturers can reduce costs and increase quality. As BRM's new Flex-Hone® In-Machine Setup video explains, factories can eliminate manual deburring while achieving surface finishes down to single RA levels.

Nylon Abrasive Brushes for Cleaning, Deburring, and Surface Finishing

Like flexible honing tools, nylon abrasive brushes are designed for use with automated and semi-automated machinery. BRM's NamPower family of products includes abrasive disc brushes, abrasive hex-drive tools, and composite hub wheels. With their unique combination of abrasives and dense, uniform fill, NamPower brushing tools are ideal for parts cleaning, rust removal, and edge radiusing.

As BRM's new NamPower video, How to Automate Deburring and Surface Finishing, explains, NamPower nylon abrasive disc brushes are available in two styles: dot and turbine. Dot-style brushes are used for general-purpose deburring and surface finishing. Turbine-style deburring tools are used for medium and heavy burr removal.

About Brush Research Manufacturing

Schmalz Technology Development - The Right Gripper for Every Task

In order to interact with their environment and perform the tasks, lightweight robots, like all industrial robots, depend on tools - and in many cases these are vacuum grippers. These form the interface to the workpiece and are therefore a decisive part of the overall system. With their help, the robots can pick up, move, position, process, sort, stack and deposit a wide variety of goods and components. Vacuum gripping systems allow particularly gentle handling of workpieces, a compact and space-saving system design and gripping from above. Precisely because the object does not have to be gripped, the vacuum suction cupenables gapless positioning next to each other.
