Rosenberg's Award-Winning B-Wheel Backward Curved Impeller Is Now Available in "Spider" Module, to Be Featured at AHR EXPO 2014

Rosenberg B-Wheel Spider Modules are built with the same total height profile and four-bolt mounting structure as standard module fans with a smaller motor mounting plate and thinner support legs for less restrictive airflow and reduced weight. The new fan modules will be on display at AHR EXPO 2014.

Charlotte, N.C. December 17, 2013

Rosenberg has introduced a new configuration of its innovative "B-Wheel" backward curved impeller fan that provides even better performance for 180˚ applications.

The new B-Wheel Spider Module features a smaller motor mounting plate and thinner support legs for less restrictive airflow in data center cooling, HVAC, medical systems, power suppliers, air filtration, fan coils and wind or solar energy generation.

The new spider modules will be featured in Rosenberg's booth, #636, at AHR EXPO 2014 in New York City, January 21 - 24.

Available in seven impeller sizes from 250 mm to 500 mm, Rosenberg B-Wheel Spider Modules are built with the same total height profile and four-bolt mounting structure as standard module fans for easy installation, but weigh up to 3 Kg (6.6 lbs) less.

The unique B-Wheel impeller features a seven-blade design (instead of the standard eight) in which the blade diameter is smaller than the outside diameter of the cover and support plate, allowing it to act as a rotating outlet diffuser. This new wheel geometry and improved paddle design provide for impeller efficiencies up to 78% while reducing noise by up to one to four dBA. It also increases airflow compared to standard impellers operating at the same speed.

Designated the LRHF-B, the new aluminum impeller is especially designed for demanding air-movement tasks with low noise and high efficiency requirements. The new "B-Wheel" design can increase efficiency by nearly six percent, depending on the application.

Rosenberg's Spider Module B-Wheel fans are available with single phase AC, three-phase AC, 110 and 380 VDC, and electronically commutated (EC) motors. Motor power choices include 500W, 1.0kW, 2.0kW, 3.5kW, 5kW and 6kW. All Rosenberg fan motors are CE, UL and RoHS approved. Rosenberg fans with EC motors are ERP 2013/2015 Compliant and ModBus ready.

Rosenberg B-Wheel impellers feature all aluminum construction and robot-assisted welding. They are suitable for hygienic or outdoor applications without additional finishing or surface treatment.
