BOULDER IMAGING TRANSFORMS GRIND GAGE PROCESS WITH NEWEST PRODUCT RELEASE
SCG Series automated grind gage produces accurate, repeatable results
Louisville, CO - February 20, 2103 - Boulder Imaging (BI) is pleased to announce the release of our newest transformational surface detection product, the SCG Series grind gage. The fully automated SCG Series inspection system provides accurate, repeatable and retrievable grind analyses.
A full analysis of pigment distribution and a final reading of particle grind size is immediately provided by BI's core software platform, Vision Inspector. Initial targeted markets for the SCG include coatings and ink manufacturers, later expanding to industries including cosmetics, adhesives, dyes, resins and food.
THE SCG ADVANTAGE
"Grind analysis is highly subjective when performed by human inspectors," explained Carlos Jorquera, BI CEO and CTO. "The standard American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) method involves subjectively factoring out outlier particles and writing down a reading, all in a very limited time window, then wiping away the sample leaving no way to verify the result. "
"The SCG automates every step of this process, from a highly repeatable drawdown of the sample, to a precisely timed image capture, and an algorithmic statistical analysis of particle size. The result is stored, along with the raw image data for retrieval, verification and comparison, long after the original has been wiped clean."
Manufactured in the USA at BI's Louisville, CO headquarters, the SCG Series is priced under $20,000 and available for purchase.
