New, Low Cost Right Angled DC Gearmotor now available from MMP!

Midwest Motion Products Inc., with Manufacturing and Office Facilities now based in Howard Lake, Minnesota, is pleased to announce the release of the new "TM57-GRA52" Right Angled Gearmotor System. This new 1:1 Right Angled Gearbox allows for significantly increased versatility, and design whose geometry allows for the unit to be mounted in tight spaces.

In this unique design we employ our Standard Brushed or Brushless Motors, and Planetary Gearheads to complete the R/A Design, making the final assembly available with a ‘multitude' of output ratio options.

The drawing and photograph below is of a standard Brushed MMP-TM57 series motor, attached to one of our Standard Planetary Gearheads via our new R/A Gearbox design.

*Based on a 100 unit order, for the MMP D22-301 Series Motor, paired with a single stage output gearhead

ST Robotics Develops the Workspace Sentry for Collaborative Robotics

The ST Robotics Workspace Sentry robot and area safety system are based on a small module that sends an infrared beam across the workspace. If the user puts his hand (or any other object) in the workspace, the robot stops using programmable emergency deceleration. Each module has three beams at different angles and the distance a beam reaches is adjustable. Two or more modules can be daisy chained to watch a wider area.
