General Dynamics to Show Innovative Solutions for U.S. Marine Corps at Modern Day Marine 2017

The expanding robotic product line from General Dynamics Land Systems includes 8x8 and 6x6 wheeled versions of the MUTT, as well as the Weaponized MUTT. The MUTT has proved to be a rugged, reliable, V-22 transportable, small-unit force multiplier that provides increased persistence and protection and projection of combat power for land forces.

WHAT:

General Dynamics will show how its extensive portfolio advances the U.S. Marine Corps' mission to defend the nation. Hands-on demonstrations at the show will highlight how the company leads the way in supporting the Marines doing the hardest jobs in the most difficult environments in the world.

A display of multiple configurations of the Flyer Family of lightweight, tactical vehicles
General Dynamics Land Systems -- Booth 2415 - Tent B (Inside)
Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) Obsolescence Program: The Land Systems team will be available to discuss LAV upgrades to the power pack, transmission, driveline system, driver's instrument panel and turret slip ring. These enhancements are designed to extend the service life of the LAV into the 2030s.

Multi-Utility Tactical Transport (MUTT): The robotic 8x8 MUTT will be on display. The expanding robotic product line from Land Systems includes 8x8 and 6x6 wheeled versions of the MUTT, as well as the Weaponized MUTT. The MUTT has proved to be a rugged, reliable, V-22 transportable, small-unit force multiplier that provides increased persistence and protection and projection of combat power for land forces.

In addition, Land Systems will have representatives available to discuss the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank program, Cougar Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) vehicles and its other line of products and services from around the globe.

Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC2S): The CAC2S demonstration will feature a real-time fused air picture with aviation tracks from radar sensors. The advanced Multi-Source Correlator Tracker display provides shared situational awareness across the air space. This demonstration will be networked on a tactical LTE network so that the air picture from the notional command center can be shared with a tablet and will feature two firsts for CAC2S, which recently received a $105 million full-rate production decision from the U.S. Marine Corps:

CrossingGuard™ XD is a low Size, Weight and Power (SwaP), trusted cross-domain access and transfer solution that is ideal for tactical platforms and sensors with which SWaP constraints are prevalent. Built on COTS open standards, CrossingGuard XD is a software-based virtual guard designed for tactical mission environments that require cross-domain processing at the mobile edge.

Sectéra® vIPer™ Universal Secure Phone is the only NSA-certified Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone that protects information classified Top Secret/SCI and below over commercial wired networks and is the ideal replacement for outdated Secure Terminal Equipment (STE). This modern phone allows users to easily switch between making end-to-end secure and non-secure calls on VoIP and analog networks, eliminating the need for multiple desktop phones. The recently released vIPer phone now includes an embedded fiber interface that allows customers to take advantage of the benefits of modern fiber infrastructures, such as greater speed, distance, reliability, security and cost savings.

TACDS™ is a ruggedized, tactical cross-domain solution (CDS) certified by the NSA that provides much-needed capability and can be found on a variety of armored and ISR platforms operating at the tactical edge. And to meet the demanding SWaP needs of dismounted military personnel, it is available in a smaller form factor that weighs just 8 ounces.

TACLANE®, the world's most widely deployed Type 1 encryptor, continues to provide high-speed interoperable solutions to protect networks and information against evolving cyber threats.

The ability to share information across multiple security domains while in the battlefield gives dismounted warfighters access to more information than ever before. With Trusted Embedded Environment (TEE), warfighters in tactical situations can access and transfer information from multiple security levels, enhancing their situational awareness, safety and mission success.

Trusted Network Environment (TNE) is a cyber edge solution in use by the U.S. Department of Defense and federal agencies. It enables multiple coalitions of interest (COI) to share sensitive information across security boundaries. Built on an enhanced Linux Operating System (OS) provided by the PitBull product, TNE enables this 360-degree collaboration with a suite of trusted software applications, utilities and tools that are fully accredited for cross-domain information sharing.

General Dynamics Mission Systems -- Booth 261 -- Outside
4G Tactical Backbone: This demonstration features base stations supported by a virtualized core network and a 30-foot deployable mast. These radios will provide two separate LTE wireless networks - one for high-capacity network traffic and one for smartphones, tablets and command post support. The LTE networks will link to the indoor booth in Tent B (#2025), allowing attendees to see the Tactical Toolkit Multi-Domain Dominance common operating picture and data.

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems -- Booth 278 -- Outside
Ordnance and Tactical Systems will showcase a diverse line of munitions, including a full family of 120mm tank ammunition and 120mm EFSS mortar munitions; medium-caliber ammunition for all 20mm, 25mm and 30mm land, air and sea platforms; and an array of crew-served weapon platforms.

The Flyer Family of Lightweight, Tactical Vehicles: Highly mobile, fully modular, Internal and External Air Transport (IAT) compliant, military-grade, mission-ready vehicles. The Flyer 72 is shown in the Army LRV configuration, capable of carrying a crew of six with a 30mm lightweight machine gun with a payload capacity of more than 5,000 pounds and internally transportable in a CH-47. The Flyer 60 is shown in a five-man configuration. It has a payload capacity of 4,500 pounds and can be internally transported in V-22 and CH-47 or underslung on a UH-60 helicopter.
