Allied Motion Expands Line of Frameless MegafluxTM Direct Drive Torque Motors

Smaller sizes added to accommodate wider range of OEM applications

Amherst, NY - September 2017 - Allied Motion Technologies announces the addition of smaller frame sizes to its line of MegafluxTM Frameless Direct Drive Torque Motors. Motors are now available in sizes ranging from 60 to 792 mm in outside diameter, with multiple stack lengths for each diameter.

Brushless torque motors are designed to produce high torque values compared to standard brushless motors. They have higher pole-counts, much thinner axial dimensions, larger diameters than typical motors, and are designed to run at low-to-moderate speed. Being frameless, Megaflux kit motors (consisting of a matched rotor and stator pair) are ideally suited for OEM designs where they can be integrated directly into the driven axis. A large open-center aperture provides free passage to route cables, light beams or other machine mechanics. Megaflux frameless torque motors are the ideal integrated solution for OEM designs, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment, robot base, shoulder and joint axes, machine tool spindle drives, telescope and antenna stabilized gimbal platforms, to name a few.

The Megaflux family of high-performance direct drive frameless brushless torque comprises twelve frame diameters each with five stack heights. The wide selection of sizes ensures that standard models will meet most OEM application needs, but customized versions are a specialty at Allied Motion.

Megaflux highlights include:

• 12 standard frame sizes from 60 to 792 mm (2.4 to 31.2 in) outside diameter
• Continuous stall torque from 0.3 up to 2020 Nm (1490 lb-ft)
• Clear ID aperture from 36.2 up to 582 mm (22.9 in)
• Three winding designs: 48, 150, and 300 VDC

BitFlow Introduces 6th Generation Camera Link Frame Grabber: The Axion

BitFlow has offered a Camera Link frame grabbers for almost 15 years. This latest offering, our 6th generation combines the power of CoaXPress with the requirements of Camera Link 2.0. Enabling a single or two camera system to operate at up to 850 MB/S per camera, the Axion-CL family is the best choice for CL frame grabber. Like the Cyton-CXP frame grabber, the Axion-CL leverages features such as the new StreamSync system, a highly optimized DMA engine, and expanded I/O capabilities that provide unprecedented flexibility in routing. There are two options available; Axion 1xE & Axion 2xE. The Axion 1xE is compatible with one base, medium, full or 80-bit camera offering PoCL, Power over Camera Link, on both connectors. The Axion 2xE is compatible with two base, medium, full or 80-bit cameras offering PoCL on both connectors for both cameras. The Axion-CL is a culmination of the continuous improvements and updates BitFlow has made to Camera Link frame grabbers.
