ARxIUM Introduces New Features for MedSelect™ Flex Automated Medication Dispensing System

Company to host demonstration of system's new capabilities at ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition December 3-5

ARxIUM, a global provider of industry-leading pharmacy automation, workflow and consulting solutions, today announced its automated medication dispensing system, MedSelect Flex, offers new reporting and analytics capabilities for hospital and long-term care pharmacies. The applications increase pharmacy safety and workflow while reducing costs.

The system now includes the MedSelect Performance Dashboard, making it one of the most user-friendly dispensing cabinet interfaces on the market. The tool provides a simple and concise view of data that is automatically synchronized across the system and offers live status updates to the pharmacy.

The dashboard helps pharmacists see real-time performance of the systems individual units - e.g., inventory levels, expiration information and much more. In addition, MedSelects redesigned graphical user interface provides improved workflow and reduces the number of required steps to complete any pharmacy operation, including dispensing and restocking.

"For years, MedSelects reporting and data storage capabilities has been one of the most robust in the market and our newest applications raise the bar even higher," said Dr. Niels Erik Hansen, president and CEO of ARxIUM. "The reporting and analytics features also provide industry leading scalability and governance. Its important to note, the updates are a direct result of MedSelect user input that we incorporated to help improve patient safety and efficiency."

ARxIUM also made a MedSelect key differentiator even better, by giving pharmacists more flexibility to create customized reports. As a result, users can access artificial intelligence-generated suggestions and visualizations to conduct data searches in any direction, instant calculations and other functions with one click. Additionally, the system can now store data for up to 10 years in a multi-cloud platform and offer a seamless integration with Microsoft Excel to automatically create and distribute reports.

At the 2018 American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition in Anaheim December 3-5, ARxIUM will demonstrate MedSelects new features at booth 901. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see demonstrations of other best-in-class solutions (including the companys IV compounding system RIVA and inventory management software RxWorks Pro) and to speak with ARxIUMs leadership team about its first-to-market Pharmacy 4.0 initiative.
