World-class ROV company, Deep Trekker, launches the DTG3 powered by BRIDGE technology

BRIDGE technology is the latest platform for all future Deep Trekker robotics

Deep Trekker, Canadian manufacturer of remotely operated vehicles, today announces the official launch of the DTG3 and the introduction of BRIDGE technology.

BRIDGE technology is comprised of custom hardware, software and integration, developed in response to a growing market demand. Utilizing the latest in technology, this platform will become the base for future products, new and advanced features and third-party integrations by Deep Trekker.

"BRIDGE allows the user to experience wireless control and viewing, multi-vehicle operation over the internet, and software upgrades from anywhere in the world," says Chad Plesa-Naden, Embedded Systems Engineer Lead, Deep Trekker.

Deep Trekker's world-class robots are used by thousands of customers around the globe; for structural inspections, marine surveys, sample collection, drowning victim search and recovery, security checks and more. The introduction of the DTG3 ROV allows for advanced power, heightened capabilities and high-end performance at a breakthrough price.

Reaching depths of 305 meters (1000 ft), the DTG3 is designed to last longer with hybrid power boasting 12-hour battery life. An enhanced viewing and recording experience provide smarter inspections with its live, 4K video and waterproof handheld controller.

"BRIDGE makes operating, viewing and recording better than ever seen before on Deep Trekker ROVs," says Cody Warner, Sales Manager, Deep Trekker.

Coupled with the driving force of BRIDGE, the DTG3 provides advanced stability even in rough underwater environments; the freedom to move with direct sonar integration, and an automated station holding capable of rotating 270 degrees.

"With the launch of BRIDGE and our newest DTG3 ROV, we are ushering a new era of advanced functions and underwater technology," says Sam Macdonald, President, Deep Trekker.

US Digital's New L2 Low Profile Motor Encoder

US Digital's New L2 Low Profile Motor Encoder

The L2 incremental encoder uses US Digital's proven EM1 optical encoder module and disk, which has billions of device-hours of dependable service in customer applications. This product continues US Digital's strong reputation for reliable, field-tested encoders. The L2 is US Digital's lowest height encoder that uses the EM1 module. It has a 0.75 in. bolt-spacing mount. The maximum resolution is 1250 CPR (5000 PPR with quadrature). The L2 comes with a single-ended output. Another benefit of the L2 incremental encoder is its fast installation. The cover snaps onto the base to secure the module. It is designed for use with a high-retention connector or cable (sold separately). Like all US Digital products, the L2 is designed and manufactured in Vancouver, Washington, USA. It is backed by prompt access to our technical and customer service teams with same-day shipping on most orders.
