TraceParts launches the 14th edition of its annual Christmas tree design competition

To finish off this year in a joyful way, TraceParts calls on its CAD community to take part in designing a Christmas tree for their yearly Christmas tree design competition.

Saint-Romain, France, December 1st, 2020 - To start the end-of-year celebrations, TraceParts - one of the world's leading providers of 3D digital content - and Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and automation have partnered up to launch the 14th edition of the Christmas Tree competition, which will run until 21st December.

The aim for entrants is to create a 3D Christmas tree using as many of the freely-available parts as possible coming from the Schneider Electric Catalog on the TraceParts CAD content platform. Contestants may use the CAD software or image retouching program of their choice.

Participants must send a screen shot of their Christmas tree before December 21st, 2020 to the following address: contest@traceparts.com. The size of the file should not exceed 1 Mb.

Three lucky winning entries will be picked having the most creative and successful creations, which will subsequently be displayed on the TraceParts website.

The prizes up for grabs include a X box Serie S for first place, an Apple Ipad Air 2 for second place and an Amazon Echo 2020 for third place.

All the 3D files available on the TraceParts CAD-content platform are compatible with the most popular native CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, Pro/ENGINEER & Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD, Solid Edge, TopSolid, Geomagic Design, Kompas 3D, SpaceClaim, SketchUp, Autodesk REVIT, ZW3D, Draftsight, HiCAD, TurboCAD, T-FLEX, SolidFace, Elecworks, Gstarcad, IronCAD, MagicPart, SolidWorks Electrical, DesignSpark Mechanical and DesignSpark Electrical.

The majority of neutral CAD file-formats are also supported, notably DWG, DXF, IGES, STEP, SAT, JT, VRML and many others including STL, the standard CAD-file format for 3D printing.

Enjoy the game!
