Tell us about your company.

Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) is a leading manufacturer of collaborative mobile robots. We are dedicated to developing user-friendly, flexible and safe robots to help companies increase the efficiency of their operations. Our autonomous robots are advanced mobile robots which offers a rapid ROI, often with a payback period of less than a year.

These unique, collaborative robots are now used by manufacturers in a wide range of industries and healthcare sectors to automate their in-house transportation.

As a first mover in the field, we have enjoyed a rapid, worldwide adoption of our unique and innovative robots. We are represented worldwide with branch offices in Odense (HQ), Dortmund, Barcelona, Shanghai, Singapore, San Diego and New York, and through an extensive distributor network that currently consists of 140 distributors in 40 countries.

Your company will be exhibiting at IMTS, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

At IMTS we have a great possibility of demonstrating our mobile robots to manufacturing industry professionals from all over U.S as IMTS is the Amerca’s largest manufacturing show. North America is our largest market and we are looking forward to show how our robots can improve efficiency in all types of companies across different sectors.

Highlight a 2 or 3 products you will be showcasing at the event?

We will showcase our latest autonomous mobile robot, the MiR500 which will have its American launch at IMTS. MiR500 is designed to automate the transportation of pallets and heavy loads across industries. With a payload of 500 kg, speed of 2 m/sec and a footprint of 1350 x 920 mm, MiR500 is the largest, most powerful, fastest and robust autonomous mobile cobot from MiR.

We will also bring several MiR200 and MiR100 robots with different applications. We will e.g. showcase the MiR200 with an application with a UR5 robot arm and a MiR200 with the MiRHook, that can tow up to 500 kg.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?  Any educational sessions you plan on attending?

IMTS covers a very big range of products for the manufacturing industry, and it will be interesting to see the latest technologies and innovations within automation and robotics in general, but we might also look for suppliers at the show.

When you book a booth for a tradeshow like this what are your expectations and what does your company hope to accomplish at the event?

We hope and expect to have a lot of interesting conversations with potential and existing customers. This is only our second show in the U.S (we were at Automate in ’17) and we are looking forward to demonstrating our mobile cobots and show how they can optimize the internal transportation across industries.
