Microscan's Vision MINI Smart Camera Receives 2011 Global Technology Award for Innovation

Microscan, a global technology leader in barcode, machine vision and lighting solutions, announces that it has been awarded a Global Technology Award in the category of ID Systems for its Vision MINI smart camera.

RENTON, WA, November 2011 - Microscan, a global technology leader in barcode, machine vision and lighting solutions, announces that it has been awarded a Global Technology Award in the category of ID Systems for its Vision MINI smart camera. The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, November 15, 2011 ceremony that took place at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany during Productronica 2011. As the world's smallest, fully integrated vision system, the ultra-compact Vision MINI is designed for reliable vision performance in embedded identification and inspection applications.

Premiering in 2005, the Global Technology Awards program is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. Recipients of the award represent leading examples of technology innovation, selected by a distinguished panel of industry experts.

Electronics manufacturers rely on machine vision to ensure accurate board assembly, increase throughput, and achieve "cradle-to-grave" traceability. In addition to reading barcodes and Data Matrix codes, machine vision systems such as the Vision MINI automate critical inspection tasks including part location, text reading (OCR), component verification, and others.

Measuring only 1.80" x 2.10" x 1.00" (WxLxH), the small form factor of the Vision MINI allows for flexible positioning in tight spaces. The compact smart camera features fully integrated lighting, autofocus lens, complete AutoVISION™ software tool set, and wide angle optics for close-range applications. The Vision MINI delivers high accuracy and reliability, along with the assurance of long term availability and support. This is essential for OEM manufacturers, who require uninterrupted availability throughout the life-cycle of their products, and enables them to focus on new development instead of obsolescence issues.

Bota Systems - The SensONE 6-axis force torque sensor for robots

Our Bota Systems force torque sensors, like the SensONE, are designed for collaborative and industrial robots. It enables human machine interaction, provides force, vision and inertia data and offers "plug and work" foll all platforms. The compact design is dustproof and water-resistant. The ISO 9409-1-50-4-M6 mounting flange makes integrating the SensONE sensor with robots extremely easy. No adapter is needed, only fasteners! The SensONE sensor is a one of its kind product and the best solution for force feedback applications and collaborative robots at its price. The SensONE is available in two communication options and includes software integration with TwinCAT, ROS, LabVIEW and MATLAB®.
