MDP Series Axial Fans Now Conforms to IP68 Rating Under the IEC Standards

Oriental Motor is pleased to announce the reclassification of the MDP Series axial fans from IP55 to IP68 degree of protection. The MDP Series axial fans can now be used in locations that are prone to water splashing under IP68 classification. The MDP Series also includes a stop sensor that outputs a signal when the fan stops.

IP68 degree of protection prevents ingress of jet water from all directions. More specifically, 3.3 gal/min (12.5 L/min), 120 inH2O (30 kPa) jet water from all directions from a distance of 9.8 ft. (3 m) for 3 minutes.

The MDP Series is available with 24 VDC input and frame sizes from 3.15 in. (80 mm) up to 4.69 in. (119 mm). Fan kits are available and includes axial fan, finger guard and mounting screws. Thermostats are also available for temperature controlled environment.
