Flexible conveyor system for automatic product alignment
Montech created a flexible conveyor solution for RTM, ensuring precise automatic alignment of different products without retrofitting or extra technology.
The challenge
RTM Ratiotechnik Milde GmbH specializes in the development and production of precision components for various industries. This German company was faced with the task of correctly aligning up to 15 different products with greatly varying length-width ratios on a conveyor belt. The challenge here: The parts are rotated 90 degrees and placed on the belt conveyor, and within a very short conveying distance, they must be put into position automatically. It was not possible to use pneumatic rotating units or other actuators. In addition, a product change should be possible at any time - without any retrofitting or adjustment work.
The solution
In close cooperation with RTM, Montech developed an inclined conveyor belt with a stable base and a flexibly adjustable side guide. After a thorough feasibility analysis, we adapted the solution precisely to RTM's requirements. The delivery included a detailed 3D model and an electrical interface description. This made integration with the existing production environment very smooth. We delivered the conveyor technology ready for installation - completely pre-assembled, tested, and ready for immediate operation.
The customer benefits
- Turnkey solution with no installation costs
- No testing or adjustment required
- Automatic product alignment without additional technology
- No changeover when changing products
- Accelerated development process
- Internal resources can focus their attention on core tasks
- Expert, partnership-based cooperation

IP Seals for Robots
Freudenberg Sealing Technologies' IPRS (Ingress Protection Seals for Robots) provides reliable protection for robotic systems operating in harsh environments. Designed to prevent dust, moisture, chemicals, and wear from compromising performance, IPRS extends service life and reduces maintenance. The adaptive Z-shaped geometry ensures sealing integrity under continuous motion, making it ideal for high-speed automation and outdoor applications. Manufactured with high-performance elastomers such as Fluoroprene XP and EPDM, IPRS offers exceptional resistance to lubricants, cleaning agents, and extreme temperatures. This makes it the perfect solution for six-axis robots, SCARA robots, AMRs, AGVs, and cobots.
With its low-friction design and durable materials, IPRS enhances energy efficiency and operational reliability in industrial and autonomous robotics. Learn more about our IPRS Seals
