FlytWare Announces Webinar on Inventory Drones for Very Narrow Aisles (VNAs)

To share VNA-related insights gleaned from our engagements with warehousing customers and supply chain partners, FlytWare is delighted to host a free webinar on ‘Autonomous Inventory Drones in Very Narrow Aisles’ scheduled for December 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM CST (17:00 GMT).

California, USA, December 4, 2020 - Very Narrow Aisles (VNAs) are being rapidly adopted by large warehouses and distribution centers in response to the rising costs of urban and suburban real estate, which in turn is triggered by the boom in e-commerce and consumer expectations of fast delivery.

While VNAs can maximize utilization of the warehouse space, they also create challenges for counting palletized inventory. These include the need for expensive swing-reach trucks to access the pallets, relatively inefficient manual processes due to the high-density layout, and safety risks related to manual operations in tall racks.

These difficulties can now be resolved by using a fleet of off-the-shelf drones that are compact, reliable, and fully autonomous. Not only can they provide cost-effective and fully automated inventory counts, but they can also improve worker safety by seamlessly navigating in narrow spaces.

To share VNA-related insights gleaned from our engagements with warehousing customers and supply chain partners, FlytWare is delighted to host a free webinar on 'Autonomous Inventory Drones in Very Narrow Aisles' scheduled for December 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM CST (17:00 GMT).

The webinar will feature:
1. Kaushik Gala, Chief Business Officer at FlytBase, Inc.,
2. Joseph Waldron, Product Integration Director at RAWview Drone Systems, and
3. David Altemir, President at Altemir Consulting.

The panelists will also share their experience with single-deep racking in VNAs as the optimal configuration for one-deep case reserve at high-velocity warehouses and DCs, such as those designed for e-commerce fulfillment.

Join us to learn about the techno-commercial aspects of our successful drone pilot programs at multiple facilities with VNAs, some as narrow as 5 feet!
