Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. to Exhibit at Automate 2013
Did you know Mitsubishi Electric robots feature simple programming and straightforward connectivity?
Did you know Mitsubishi Electric robots feature simple programming and straightforward connectivity? Did you also know that Mitsubishi Robots form part of a complete lineup of industrial controller products?
At its "Discover Mitsubishi Robotics: Simple, Proven, Complete" exhibit at Automate 2013, Mitsubishi Electric Automation will showcase its latest cutting-edge robotics and control technologies. The exhibit is located at booth #854 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Automate is the largest solutions-based showcase of automation technologies in North America and runs January 21-24, 2013.
"Visitors will see a range of high-performance low-to-medium payload robots integrated with vision, such as the Robo-Pick demo which shows how Mitsubishi Robots can easily be integrated into flexible manufacturing systems" said Aravind Durai, Product Manager of Mitsubishi Robotics. Durai also added that there will be a daily drawing for an iPad® the first three days of the show.
Additional product and solution demonstrations such as Mitsubishi's iQ platform demo robot and the new MELSEC-F Series demo cell will be exhibited. The iQ Platform is unique in the automation industry, as it delivers Robot, PLC, Motion, and CNC control all on a single back plane, allowing users to have high-capacity communication between multiple machines and less wiring.
Mitsubishi's robots, PLCs, HMIs, and servos can be integrated into flexible manufacturing systems for many applications including packaging, machine tending, material handling, material removal, dispensing, inspection, kitting. "At Automate 2013, we'll show how easy it is to interface Mitsubishi equipment into an automation work cell," added Ben Sagan, Sr. Business Development Specialist, Mitsubishi Electric Automation.
In addition, an iPad will be given away daily the first three days of the show. All you have to do to enter the raffle is tour the Mitsubishi Electric booth, complete an entry form and deposit it in the drawing container. Winners will be notified by email within ten (10) business days. Prizes will be shipped to the winners within six (6) weeks of the close of the show.

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!
This compact 3D camera series combines a very short working distance, a large field of view and a high depth of field - perfect for bin picking applications. With its ability to capture multiple objects over a large area, it can help robots empty containers more efficiently. Now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems. In the color version of the Ensenso B, the stereo system is equipped with two RGB image sensors. This saves additional sensors and reduces installation space and hardware costs. Now, you can also choose your model to be equipped with two 5 MP mono sensors, achieving impressively high spatial precision. With enhanced sharpness and accuracy, you can tackle applications where absolute precision is essential. The great strength of the Ensenso B lies in the very precise detection of objects at close range. It offers a wide field of view and an impressively high depth of field. This means that the area in which an object is in focus is unusually large. At a distance of 30 centimetres between the camera and the object, the Z-accuracy is approx. 0.1 millimetres. The maximum working distance is 2 meters. This 3D camera series complies with protection class IP65/67 and is ideal for use in industrial environments.
