PPMA Show: ABB to Highlight IRB 460 Palletising Robot
Be sure to visit ABB's stand (F42) at The PPMA Show. Exhibiting with packaging system specialist and ABB system integrator, RM Group UK Ltd, ABB will be showcasing key features of its IRB 460 robot, said to be the ‘fastest palletising robot in the world.
This robot takes the lead in ABBs comprehensive palletising suite and is capable of up to 2,190 cycles per hour, making it perfect for high-speed end-of-line palletising and bag palletising. The IRB 460 occupies 20 percent less floor space and runs 15 percent faster than its nearest rivals.
The stand will also include more information about ABBs range of palletizing robots, grippers, plus its easy-to-use programming software, RobotStudio Palletising PowerPac. Designed to make palletising simpler, faster and more efficient, this PC-based program allows users to configure, simulate and program ABB robots and grippers for palletising solutions, with little or no robot programming experience required.
An ABB system integrator, RM Group specialises in the supply and manufacture of a wide range of manual & automated packaging systems. As well as ABBs IRB460, RMs stand will also feature its own range of manual bagging machines, palletising systems, bulk filling and material handling systems, plus its mobile packaging system.

The piCOBOT Electric vacuum generator
Fully electric, slim design and absence of air-tubing and cabling. The new piCOBOT® Electric heads towards another success for Piab's piCOBOT® program. A secondary effect of these achievements is the absence of entangling air tubing and cabling. It simplifies the installation, and as the new piCOBOT® Electric only needs a single connection on the cobot arm, the clean set-up allows a completely unrestricted movement. The new piCOBOT® Electric package will contain plug & play software to fit UR e-series cobots, but many other useful adaptations will be introduced in the coming year
