Robotics Summit & Expo Returns to Boston in May 2022

Third year technical design and development event for producers of commercial class robotics systems returns in 2022 with deepened coverage, an expanded expo floor, and co-locates with the Healthcare Robotics Engineering Forum.

WTWH Media, LLC, parent company of The Robot Report and Robotics Business Review, today announced the 3rd iteration of the Robotics Summit & Expo, taking place May 10-11, 2022 at the Boston Convention and Expo Center, Boston, MA. The Robotics Summit will be co-located with WTWH Media's Healthcare Robotics Engineering Forum and DeviceTalks Boston events.

The Robotics Summit & Expo is a multifaceted, international event focused on the technical issues involved with the design, development, manufacture and delivery of commercial-class robotics systems. The 2022 Robotics Summit brings together the brightest minds in robotics from across the globe to share their expertise on a variety of topics through three tracks - Technologies, Tools and Platforms Track, Design and Development Track and Manufacturability, Production and Distribution Track.

Dan Kara, VP of Robotics at WTWH Media notes, "The ongoing success of the Robotics Summit event series clearly demonstrates the need for a world class conference specifically designed for those developing the next-generation commercial-class robotics systems. The 2022 Robotics Summit builds on the success of the previous Robotics Summit events, with an expanded focus and deepened coverage in key areas, including healthcare robotics. Moreover, by hosting the 2022 Robotics Summit event at the Boston Convention and Expo Center, we have greatly increased the size of the expo floor and demonstration areas."

Co-Located Events

The Robotics Summit & Expo will be co-located with the Healthcare Robotics Engineering Forum, an international conference and expo focused on easing and speeding the development of the next generation of commercial class healthcare robotics solutions. Also co-located with the Robotics Summit event is DeviceTalks Boston, the premier industry event for medical technology professionals, currently in its ninth year. Both events attract engineering and business professionals from a broad range of healthcare and medical technology backgrounds.

3D Vision: Ensenso B now also available as a mono version!

This compact 3D camera series combines a very short working distance, a large field of view and a high depth of field - perfect for bin picking applications. With its ability to capture multiple objects over a large area, it can help robots empty containers more efficiently. Now available from IDS Imaging Development Systems. In the color version of the Ensenso B, the stereo system is equipped with two RGB image sensors. This saves additional sensors and reduces installation space and hardware costs. Now, you can also choose your model to be equipped with two 5 MP mono sensors, achieving impressively high spatial precision. With enhanced sharpness and accuracy, you can tackle applications where absolute precision is essential. The great strength of the Ensenso B lies in the very precise detection of objects at close range. It offers a wide field of view and an impressively high depth of field. This means that the area in which an object is in focus is unusually large. At a distance of 30 centimetres between the camera and the object, the Z-accuracy is approx. 0.1 millimetres. The maximum working distance is 2 meters. This 3D camera series complies with protection class IP65/67 and is ideal for use in industrial environments.
