SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. - November 12, 2025 - Swift Engineering, a leading innovator in advanced solutions for unmanned aviation as well as a range of other critical applications, was selected to be among the exhibitors at ATLA Industry Day 2025 in Tokyo. The invitation-only event focused on aligning Japan's defense industry with the U.S. military and defense industry to foster collaboration and innovation.

The Swift Accipiter UAS delivers the efficiency of a large, fixed-wing aircraft within a very small footprint. The aircraft is bungee/rail launched and is recovered by belly landing. The lightweight bungee launcher and belly-landing capability allow for flexible operations away from airfields and provide a small operational footprint. The craft offers 14-hour endurance and a 10-pound payload capacity that can include a 5.5-inch sensor rotatable through 180 degrees.
"The purpose of exhibiting at this event for Swift Engineering was to showcase our current drone product lines," said Hamed Khalkhali, President of Swift Engineering. "It also provided a glimpse for attendees into future products in progress. Swift Engineering hopes to position itself as a reliable supplier to the Ministry of Defence of Japan in the UAV, HAPS and small drone categories."
ATLA Industry Day 2025 is designed to accelerate the development of necessary capabilities and industrial base capacity within the Indo-Pacific defense sector. Attendees included representatives from the U.S. and Japanese defense industries, with a special emphasis on encouraging new entrants from commercial and academic sectors.
The Swift suite of UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) spans the shorter range, rapidly deployable VTOL (Vertical Take-off and Landing) Swift Crane to the longer endurance, longer range, gas-powered Swift Accipiter suitable for most military and law enforcement applications.
