IntelLiDrives' direct drive rotary table features large aperture and low profile

IntelLiDrives, Inc.'s newly released direct drive rotary tables PSR300 feature superior angular positioning and velocity control with exceptionally large apertures for applications in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, wafer inspection and cutting, fiber-optics alignment, optical applications, precision part indexing and robotics. These rotary tables rotate significantly faster than traditional worm and gear drives and feature zero backlash with no gear wear and vibrations, providing higher equipment productivity with better accuracy of the processed parts.

PSR300 rotary table has been tested to 300 rpm continuous rotation compared to 10 rpm, or less, of the conventional transmission based rotary tables with similar apertures and payload capacity.

To maximize positioning performance, PSR300 rotary tables utilizes direct drive brushless modular motor technology which has no brushes to wear, no gear trains to maintain and provides high acceleration and high speeds. This makes PSR300 rotary tables ideal for the applications requiring contoured motion, smooth scan velocity and precise incremental steps.

Bearings with low run-outs are used to maximize performance with respect to wobble, moment stiffness and rotating friction. A precision ground top rotor further minimizes wobble.

Positioning accuracy is assured with sub arc-second high resolution encoder. The motor and ring encoder are directly coupled to a rotating shaft. The absence of gear trains and mechanical couplings eliminates positioning errors caused by hysteresis, windup or backlash. As a result, accuracy of ±5 arc sec and bi-directional repeatability of ±0.5 arc sec are attainable.

PSR300 rotary table can be combined with other IntelLiDrives rotary tables for multi-axes rotational system.
