RMT Robotics makes ADAM Mobile Robots vocal

RMT Robotics announces ADAM RAP (Reactive Audio Playback), a programmable sound system for the ADAM (Autonomous Delivery and Manipulation) mobile robot. ADAM RAP enhances the safety and flexibility of autonomous mobile robots through interactive voice messages and a mobile "vehicle in motion" jukebox.

ADAM RAP application plays various sound bites or text-to-speech audio based on the particular function the robot is undertaking at the time. All AGVs have a standard beeper-based "vehicle in motion" alert system which is mandated by international safety standards. In many operations however, noise proliferation combined with the monotonous beep of vehicles tends to diminish the alertness of workers with constant exposure. ADAM RAP's innovative design promotes a safer work environment and enhances the interaction between workers and robots.

FAULHABER Drive Systems at the Robotics Summit & Expo in Boston from April 30 to May 1 in Hall C at Booth 534

Faulhaber will be presenting their drive systems for robotics and smart technology. Robots are versatile and can be found in many areas, for example, transporting goods, operating on patients or supporting the agriculture industry. With the help of robots, processes can be automated, the flow of materials optimized and employees relieved. Equipped with FAULHABER drive systems, these robots can take on tasks where the demands on function and applications are high.
