In December 2011, EZ-Robot was unexpectedly featured on the popular tech blog Engadget. The instant exposure was every start-up's dream, however, as EZ-Robot quickly learned; it was not all blue skies ahead. "The phenomenal response from the article helped us realize the necessity to provide a powerful and easy robot platform," said DJ Sures, CEO of EZ-Robot. "It also confirmed that the current infrastructure we had in place was not going to cut it. Within hours of the article being released, we sold out of inventory, the server crashed, and there was no chance of re-stocking any time soon. It wasn't until after this exposure that I realized I could convert my life-long passion into a company that inspires everyone to pursue their passion for robotics. In order for this to happen, I needed to re-structure EZ-Robot's supply chain as well as fill important positions of responsibility within the company" stated DJ Sures.
EZ-Robot continued to add new features to the software during the re-structuring process, making their platform even more powerful. Another focus was to continue building and supporting the social EZ-Community. "We are motivated by our customer's experience. It encourages us to continue growing and pushing our platform to the next level.
