Pickit 3D launches major release of its 3D robot vision solution

Simpler, more powerful and more resilient

LEUVEN, Belgium [26/01/2026] - Pickit 3D, a leading provider of 3D robot vision solutions, today announced the Pickit 4.0 release, a new benchmark for flexible, high-performance industrial automation with 3D robot vision. This major update is driven by Pickit 3D's commitment to making 3D robot vision accessible, easy-to-use, adapted to market needs and providing optimal Return on Investment. With improvements in all of its key components - software, hardware and services - the 4.0 release is built around simplicity, power, and reliability.

Simplified licensing
The Pickit 4.0 release introduces a simpler, more cost-effective licensing model with four defined options tailored to different automation needs. Each comes with a streamlined user experience and bespoke functionalities. This approach makes the solution even easier to use and advantageous, as customers only pay for what they need. The new licenses are Pickit Find (single part location for vision-guided operations), Pickit Lite (Semi-structured picking of stacked or layered parts), Pickit Plus (Robust bin picking of randomly oriented parts) and Pickit Depal (Depalletizing of layered goods like boxes or bags).

Increased performance
The 4.0 release offers significantly more performance than ever before. Powerful new processors deliver unprecedented detection speeds, up to 61% faster than previous generations. They include native multi-camera support and a GPU by default for enhanced processing power.
Moreover, the platform delivers on Pickit's camera-agnostic strategy by onboarding two new high-definition cameras, the S-HD2-C300 and XS-HD2-C100. The XS-HD2-C100 offers up to 0.1mm robot guidance accuracy, the highest in the Pickit portfolio, ideal for small-scale and precise guidance applications.

Future-proof and robust
Pickit 4.0 introduces a new software core designed to stay up to date with security fixes and improvements. This ensures the Pickit system remains protected, stable, and compatible with future technologies. With the new long-term support schemes, users gain access to ongoing software updates and maintenance for up to five years, extending the system's lifespan and reliability. The long term support lets customers tailor the scope of support, delivering a better return on investment (ROI).

With Pickit 4.0, Pickit 3D strengthens its promise to offer a flexible, powerful, and easy-to-access 3D robot vision platform, helping manufacturers worldwide achieve new levels of efficiency and precision in their automation journey.
