New Open System Linear Position Sensors

These cost effective sensors are designed to be integrated into applications where they can be mounted in enclosed devices.

Southborough, MA… Novotechnik, U.S. introduces the PTP Series of open housing position sensors. These cost effective sensors are designed to be integrated into applications where they can be mounted in enclosed devices. Custom wiper interfaces are available.

PTP Series sensors feature an ultra-compact profile of 13 mm width by 11.6 mm height. Length is dependent on the application and typically is between 10 and 300 mm. Integral guides and mounting clamps make mounting quick and other mounting options can be made.

These sensors enable users to minimize costs in their applications as the PTP Series can be ordered without a rod and side-actuated.

Other key specifications of the PTP Series include life of up to 50 million movements, resolution ≤ 0.01 mm, linearity is to ±0.05% and repeatability is ±0.01 mm.

Boston Dynamics Webinar - Why Humanoids Are the Future of Manufacturing

Join us November 18th for this Webinar as we reflect on what we've learned by observing factory floors, and why we've grown convinced that chasing generalization in manipulation—both in hardware and behavior—isn't just interesting, but necessary. We'll discuss AI research threads we're exploring at Boston Dynamics to push this mission forward, and highlight opportunities our field should collectively invest more in to turn the humanoid vision, and the reinvention of manufacturing, into a practical, economically viable product.
