ENCODER PRODUCTS COMPANY INTRODUCES THE PROGRAMMABLE MODEL 25SP ENCODER

The Model 25SP Programmable Size 25 Accu-CoderPro™ shaft encoder is specifically designed for the challenges of an industrial environment.

SAGLE, Idaho: Encoder Products Company (EPC), a leading designer and worldwide manufacturer of motion sensing devices, has introduced the all new Model 25SP - a programmable encoder in the industry-standard Size 25 package (2.5" x 2.5", or 63.5 mm). Contained within the rugged, industrial housing of the Model 25SP is an advanced set of electronics that allow the encoder to be programmed for exact application needs.

Programmable CPR, Output Type, & Waveform
Using EPC's optional programming module, users may select from six output types, choose from 32 different waveforms, and program any resolution from 1 to 65,536 CPR - that's 262,144 counts using 4x quadrature counting. These programming features allow a single encoder to be configured for multiple applications, enabling one encoder to replace many different part numbers, and providing cost savings on inventory and down-time replacement.

"What really sets the Model 25SP apart is the number of configuration options. With so many different connectors, waveforms, and CPRs to choose from, its the most versatile programmable Size 25 shaft encoder youll find," explains Steve Dilts, Business Development Manager.

Designed for Industrial Environments
The Model 25SP Accu-CoderPro™ has an industrial housing; it comes standard with dual bearings rated 80lbs axial or radial, so it can handle heavy-duty applications; and it can be specified with up to IP67 sealing, to keep it working in challenging environments. With a variety of mounting options, shaft sizes, and connector types to choose from, its configurable enough to fit into almost any application.

Applications
The Model 25SP is a versatile, cost-effective solution for rotary feedback in many industrial and non-industrial applications, such as: conveyors, elevator controls, machine control, food processing, process control, robotics, material handling, and textile machines, and many other motion control feedback applications. Anywhere a standard Size 25 shaft encoder fits, the Model 25SP will get the job done.

The ERT150 - Dorner's Next Evolution of Edge Roller Technology Conveyors

The next evolution in Dorner's Edge Roller Technology conveyor platform, the ERT®150, is ideal for small and light-load assembly automation, as well as medical and medical-device assembly application. The ERT platform is the only pallet conveyor of its kind available with an ISO Standard Class 4 rating for cleanroom applications. Earning the ISO Standard 14644-1 Class 4 rating means Dorner's ERT150 will conform and not contribute to the contamination of cleanrooms to those standards. As implied by its name, the ERT150 (Edge Roller Technology) uses rollers to move pallets through the conveyor smoothly with no friction (a byproduct often seen in belt-driven platforms). The conveyor's open design eliminates concerns of small parts or screws dropping into rollers and causing conveyor damage or jamming. The ERT150 is suited to operate in cleanroom environments requiring a pallet handling conveyor. It is capable of zoning for no or low-back pressure accumulation and is ideal for automation assembly applications within industries including medical devices, electronics, consumer goods among others.
