Experience the Future of Robotics and AI with UBTECH at CES 2019

From the world’s most advanced humanoid bipedal robots to JIMU Robot building kits for kids, UBTECH demonstrates the latest in robotics at CES

UBTECH Robotics, a global leader in intelligent humanoid robotics and AI technologies, today announced its lineup of innovative robotics at CES 2019. UBTECH will demonstrate new versions of Walker, a groundbreaking bipedal humanoid robot that now includes fully functional arms and hands, and Cruzr, a customized, cloud-based, humanoid service robot for business environments, as well as the award-winning Alpha Mini and JIMU Robot building kits for consumers.

UBTECH's range of robots for consumers and enterprises will be on display at CES Booth #26402 in South Hall 2 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Highlights of UBTECH's showcase include:

Walker, in a new, never-before-seen version that now includes arms and hands with the ability to grasp and manipulate objects, offers an extraordinary glimpse into the future of bipedal intelligent humanoid robots. Walker is UBTECH's most advanced robot ever created and will demonstrate cutting-edge capabilities such as flexible walking, self-balancing, hand-eye coordination, obstacle avoidance, and face and object recognition.
Cruzr, a customized, cloud-based, intelligent humanoid service robot, adding features and refinements for increased performance and reliability in Retail 4.0 scenarios. Already deployed by customers in Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America, Cruzr is where service meets intelligence, creating value for businesses to better attend to their customers' needs, while allowing human teams to focus on more complex issues requiring human interaction. Cruzr will be available in North America for the first time in 2019.
Alpha Mini, a warm and affectionate companion robot ready to befriend, entertain, teach, and communicate with you in a wide variety of scenarios. Just 9.6" (245mm) tall, Alpha Mini is highly portable, bringing fun interactions and a wealth of expressions wherever you go, including voice interaction, 4G LTE connectivity, face recognition, illustrated book recognition, and object recognition. 14 servos power a variety of flexible movements, such as dancing, kung fu, and getting up after a fall, while the adorable LCD eyes can display crying, happiness, and other emotions and expressions. Alpha Mini is a CES Innovation Award honoree and is already a best-seller in China.
JIMU Robot is an award-winning line of robot building kits for children 8 and up, including the Mythical Series: UnicornBot Kit and BuilderBot Series: Overdrive Kit. JIMU robots are designed to inspire and delight girls and boys with the challenge of assembling their robot from scratch, and then the fun of controlling it and coding its motions through the free JIMU app and Blockly coding platform. JIMU robots make STEM learning fun and easy through creative play that interweaves the central concepts of robotics and programming. JIMU robots are available worldwide, including retailers such as Amazon.com, Apple Stores, Target, Wal-Mart, and more.

Schmalz Technology Development - Vacuum Generation without Compressed Air - Flexible and Intelligent

• Vacuum generation that's 100% electrical; • Integrated intelligence for energy and process control; • Extensive communication options through IO-Link interface; Schmalz already offers a large range of solutions that can optimize handling process from single components such as vacuum generators to complete gripping systems. Particularly when used in autonomous warehouse, conventional vacuum generation with compressed air reaches its limits. Compressed air often is unavailable in warehouses. Schmalz therefore is introducing a new technology development: a gripper with vacuum generation that does not use compressed air. The vacuum is generated 100% electrically. This makes the gripper both energy efficient and mobile. At the same time, warehouses need systems with integrated intelligence to deliver information and learn. This enables the use of mobile and self-sufficient robots, which pick production order at various locations in the warehouse. Furthermore, Schmalz provides various modular connection options from its wide range of end effectors in order to handle different products reliably and safely.
