Universal Logic announced today a new version of its signature Neocortex artificial intelligence product designed for do-it-yourself engineers. Neocortex DIY software allows engineers to configure and deploy AI-based robot cells for variable picking
Timing, budget, and need are coequal factors in determining whether or not its the right time for a robot. If its not the right choice to make tomorrow, that doesnt mean it wont be the perfect decision next month.
A reprogrammable, multifunctional manipulator designed to move material, parts, tools, or specialized devices through various programmed motions for the performance of a variety of task.
With seven degrees of freedom in its arm - and its new mobility platform - Sawyer SDK with Clearpaths Ridgeback platform enables researchers to deploy the robot to a wide range of tasks, providing the flexibility needed to test various projects.
Tesla Selects The Robotics Education & Competition Foundation As One Of The Initial Recipients Of The Company's Nevada K-12 Investment Fund
The grant is part of a multi-year investment focused on initiatives that support K-12 STEM and sustainability education in Nevada
Designers have to choose from a wide variety of microprocessors, programmable logic technology, power semiconductors, motors, amplifiers, mechanical elements, sensors, and application software. Naturally, the choice goes well beyond merely selecting high-end components.
Universal Robots and OCTOPUZ work together to automate Fibrelines manufacturing process while providing flexibility for the future.
The UR3 was integrated in the assembly line by Hirebotics, a Universal Robots Certified System Integrator that basically works like a staffing agency for cobots, letting startups like Creating Revolutions rent cobots by the hour without any upfront capital.
Offline Robot Programming is a technology that is quickly being implemented in manufacturing facilities all over the globe. This implementation results in an increase in efficiency, time and cost savings, and results in less down time.
ABB launches OmniCore, a new era of digital robot control to increase flexibility, reliability and performance
New ABB OmniCore™ robot controller family offers broadest motion control options, more tailored solutions for the connected "Factory of the Future"
From the outside it looks just like any other industrial brushless servo motor but inside it utilized advanced manufacturing techniques to provide higher torque, higher speed, smoother operation, higher efficiency, and better inertial matching in a smaller package.
The primary uses for inertial sensors are platform stability and global positioning, but we are seeing increasing use as feedback in articulated limbs.
In analyzing the geography of the 152 companies that received investment, there were striking differences to 2016. While in terms of the number of investments were largely similar, with the United States retaining over half the number of individual investments.
Important functions provided on an ejector, and in particular all-in-one ejector, can be summarized in three major categories.
Traditional robots have been designed to perform a single task extremely efficiently. But when the item or the task changes, which is often the case with food, these traditional machines need to be reintegrated and reprogrammed

The industry's first comprehensive Robot Integrator Program saves robot integrators significant time and cost investments by allowing them to mark each cell compliant with ANSI/RIA R15.06 with the TUV Rheinland Mark. As opposed to a traditional certification or an on-site field labeling, TÜV Rheinland's Robot Integrator Program certifies the knowledge and skill-set of robot integrators in addition to testing robotic cells and processes against ANSI/RIA R15.06. This reduces the need for frequent onsite or off site testing and allows manufacturers to apply a single TÜV Rheinland label to multiple cells. The Robot Integrator Program individually assesses a robot integrator's understanding of the ANSI/RIA R15.06 standard along with the ability to consistently produce compliant robot cells. Following the requirements and procedures of the new program will enable robot integrators to produce individually compliant robotic cells under one serialized TÜV Rheinland Mark, which meets the national electric code and allows acceptance by Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and end users.
